Student Life

Learning at Hope Academy GSO is interactive, impactful, and fun! Whether building leadership skills on a sports team or exploring nature in an outdoor classroom, our students learn that God has good plans for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11) and those plans are filled with hope.

Athletics

Sports programs at Hope Academy are opportunities for students to develop athletic skills and life skills. Students learn to set goals, persevere through challenges, and how to work together as a team.

Each program runs for two-months of the school year, so students can participate in multiple sports throughout the year. Hope Academy GSO is a proud member of the Independent School League (ISL), which focuses on co-ed sports for 5th-8th graders.

After-School Program

Hope Academy offers an after-school program called the NEST for K-5th grade. We partner with local community organizations for play-based activities, arts and crafts, and special interest clubs like dance and science.

Summer Program

Our Summer Bridge program is available to all Hope Academy students, starting with those who will be going into 1st grade in the fall through graduating 8th graders who are headed into high school. Students receive individualized support in reading, writing, and math in the morning. The afternoons are for fun, including crafts, movies, and exciting field trips.

High School Readiness Program

We want all our students to be equipped for the next step in their academic journey. Our High School Readiness Program helps 8th graders prepare for high school by making sure they know what to expect and how to create healthy relationships in a new environment. 100% of 8th graders attend choice/magnet high schools after graduating from Hope Academy.
